Practical Project Management, Managing

The program is built around a project leader's leadership role and how communication can and should work. Managing a project is different from managing a business, not least from the limited time perspective.

This training is IPMA-registered

The training laps theoretical overviews and practical exercises - both individual and group - who are reported and discussed. While personal development as a project manager will be developed during the training.

Audience

The training is intended for those who have passed a basic project management training and want to further develop your skills in the field.

  • Be able to communicate without misunderstanding
  • The project may suffer from various types of conflicts, and then you need as a project manager to know how they are managed. This can apply to both "real " and " imaginary " conflict
  • One way to work in the project is to meet and therefore must these meetings be efficient and structured . In this course you will get tips on various types of meetings and about what is important to consider for each type of meeting
  • In some projects , the project team feel stressed and then you have as a project manager know how to act in order to deal with stress and most importantly avoid stress takes over . You'll learn what it is the difference between positive and negative stress

  • During training, you will take part of the theories of " Johari Window ", which describes how well you yourself as others perceive you. This is a tool that describes the self-insight and feedback
  • Group dynamics , what is it? You will have described several different models in the range , including Will Schutz and Bruce Tuckman
  • How will you as a project manager motivate your employees and what motivates them? The basis of all motivation work is Fredrick Hertzberg's studies from the 60s. These coupled with tools from today.
  • A project manager must be able to negotiate. It may be towards the originator of the project or the various line managers, with regard to partners or suppliers, but also to the different project members . This we will touch on during training
  • A good project manager must be able to be flexible in their leadership and able to adapt to different situations. We will talk about Hersey 's and Blanchard's studies on " Situational Leadership "
  • Throughout the program you will be working with your personal development , how to develop you in project management
